In the ACL Europe Virtual Singles Open, Wicked Wood player Bruno Bocquier wins the final from fellow Wicked Wood player Mathieu Rivault. The two best players in Europe were together in the final, after a tough tournament with many good opponents.
Level goes up
Last year you could get by with an average of 70+ over 10 rounds, this year everything is different. The level in Europe is going up tremendously. For example, the round average rose from 67 to 79 this year. A huge increase and many strong players are knocking on the door.
French underdog
And yet the French favorites found each other again in the final of the tournament. In the end, Bruno picked up just 4 points more than Mathieu. It's going to be one of many finals between the two this year.
ACL Slovenia Open
In Slovenia one month from now, it will really begin! The first Tier 3 tournament of the ACL Europe Series 2024. For the first time the top players are going to meet face-to-face. With more than 100 participants, it will be a very well attended tournament!
