Cornhole is growing in Europe! Not only are there more and more professional players, but also more and more high-quality products are being made. This month we tested three sets of professional bags from European producers.

Kalle Akesson: Harno Bags
Kalle Akesson - Harno Bags

These bags are made by Kalle Akesson from Sweden. You can find him here. The Harno Bags, in the brown version, arrived at our doorstep within a few weeks. What struck us immediately is that the bags feel wonderfully soft. The fabric is not too hard and the filling is the same. This makes the bag comfortable to handle and you have a good grip on the bag itself.

Like most bags these days, this one has two different sides. A quick and a slightly more rough side. The difference between the two sides is not huge, but there is a difference. We would give the fast side a speed rating of 6, the rough side a rating of 4.

Players who want to keep full control over their throw and are a little less fond of pure speed will be very happy with these bags.

Cost: About €60 for 4 bags.

Lion Board: Matrix Bags
Lion Board - Matrix Bags

The second set of bags are the Matrix Bags from Lion Board. What immediately stands out is the quality of the print. Both sides look very sleek. In terms of design, these bags immediately stand out. This is something to show off at a tournament!
What strikes me is that the bags are a bit flatter than the other two sets tested.

Because of this, the bags feel a bit harder in the hand, which is also due to the fabric being a bit harder than the bags from Sweden. The advantage of this is that you can generate a lot of speed with a "flat bag". Players who use the sliding of the board to score points can use these bags very well.

These bags also have two different sides. The manufacturer himself gives a speed rating of 6/4. We would categorise the smooth side more towards 7, as they are somewhat faster than the pouches from Sweden.

Cost: Approximately €58 for 4 bags.

Slicky Baggers - Series 4 - Double Face
Slicky Baggers - Double Face

The third set of bags we have tested comes from Switzerland. Slicky Baggers is a new producer that is working hard. Almost every week they come out with a new series of professional bags. We tested the Series 4 (Double Face).

Compared to the other sachets, this one is clearly the most filled. The bags therefore feel full. However, they are not heavier than the other bags. Players who like a full feeling in their pouches, and therefore do not want to have the feeling that they can "squeeze" the pouches, will be very happy with this.
The manufacturer's speed rating is 2/8. We can understand that. The smooth side is enormously fast, whereas the rough side is almost immediately stationary. This has its tactical advantages. Keep in mind that there is nothing in between. Either your bag goes very fast, or it stops immediately.

Cost: About €80 for 4 bags.
